ISC24

International Statistics Conference 2024 (ISC 2024), organized by the Institute of Applied Statistics, Sri Lanka (IASSL) will be held on 28 - 29 December, 2024 at the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, Sri Lanka. The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), Sri Lanka and Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada are the local and International collaborators of the Conference respectively.

The theme of the conference is "Unleashing the power of data: Harnessing the Synergy between Statistics and Data Science". The Guest of Honour of the conference is the world renowned researcher Prof. Rob Hyndman, Monash University, Australia. Keynote speeches will be delivered by Prof. Rob Hyndman as well as another renowned Statistician Professor Tim Swartz, SFU, Canada. Professor Ji-Hyun Lee, the President-elect 2024 of the American Statistical Association and Prof. Jay Emmerson, Yale University, USA will deliver guest speeches during the conference.

The Conference Proceedings will be published with an ISSN and ISBN. Selected papers will be submitted to Springer Nature for a possible publication in a Scopus-indexed book series or published in Sri Lanka Journal of Applied Statistics.

**Full-time undergraduate/postgraduate student presenters of submissions who are affiliated with a local state university are eligible for a 50% (One day: LKR 6,000; Both days (early-bird): LKR 10,000) and 25% (One day: LKR 9,000; Both days (early-bird): LKR 15,000) reduction in the registration fee respectively with a valid proof of evidence of student status (a copy of the student ID certified by the registrar of the Faculty and a letter from the supervisor. If the student is a recent graduate, the effective date of the degree should be after 01/01/2024 and a letter confirming this from the Head of the relevant academic department should also be submitted). The related evidence is required to be submitted at the time of the registration.

Life members of IASSL who are locally affiliated are eligible for a 15% (One day: LKR 10,200; Both days (early-bird): LKR 17,000) reduction in the registration fee. Please enter your membership number in the 'payment reason' box when registering.
