AUTHOR GUIDELINES
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Invited submissions will be abstracts (extended abstracts not required) and will not be reviewed.
- These will be published in a separate section called invited submissions in the conference proceedings for abstracts.
- All invited submissions must be presented orally at the conference.
- Authors of all invited submissions must be registered.
- Authors of invited submissions should follow the invited abstract template when preparing the abstract and should also submit the author declaration form when submitting the abstract.
- Abstracts should be submitted with an extended abstract. The extended abstract will not be published and will only be used to assist the review process.
- Accepted contributed submissions must be presented at the conference through an oral presentation or through a poster. The mode will be decided by the reviewing panel.
- Accepted contributed abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings of ISC 2024.
- Contributed abstract submission should include 4 files:

- Selected contributed full papers which were accepted for oral presentations will be submitted to Springer Nature for a possible publication in a Scopus-indexed book series.
- All other contributed full papers which were accepted for oral presentations will be published in a special issue of the Sri Lanka Journal of Applied Statistics (SLJAS). A unique DOI number will be assigned for each paper.
- The abstract of all accepted contributed full papers will be published in the conference proceedings of ISC 2024.
- Contributed full paper submission should include 3 files
● Submissions will consist of invited submissions and contributed submissions.

● Invited abstracts should be emailed to [email protected]
● The conference proceedings will be published under a hybrid ISSN number.

REVIEW PROCESS
● All the contributed submissions will go through a double-blinded peer review process.
● Therefore, all submissions must not contain author(s) names or affiliation(s) at the beginning of the abstract/paper. Funding or other acknowledgments should not be included.
● Each abstract/paper will be reviewed by at least two senior experts.
POST CONFERENCE PUBLICATION
● Selected contributed full papers which were accepted for oral presentations will be submitted to Springer Nature for a possible publication in a Scopus-indexed book series.

PUBLICATION TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ISC 2024
The authors should adhere to the following terms & conditions of ISC 2024:
1. The Institute of Applied Statistics Sri Lanka (IASSL) offers this website, including all the information relevant to ISC 2024.
2.We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time. It is the users responsibility to monitor changes to this site.
3. We may revise our terms and conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes in relevant laws. You can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time at this page.
4. These terms and conditions are a contract between the conference participants and the IASSL. No other person shall have any right to enforce any of the terms.
5. If the submitted abstract/ full paper is required to take the ethical clearance, it should be taken from a professional ethical review committee prior to the commencement of the study. Authors should provide the ethical clearance number in the Author Declaration form.
6. At least one author must attend the conference in person to present their abstract/ full paper. If not, such abstract/ full paper will not be published in the conference proceedings.
7.In the event of submiting an abstract/ full paper all the conflicts of interest (if any) should be declared by the authors through the Author Declaration form.
8.The participants are fully responsible in taking care of their personal possessions during the event and IASSL do not accept any liability for them.
9.The registration fee will not be refunded, if you cancel the registration or do not attend the event.
